MyNorth (“the App”) helps you save places you care about and shows their direction on a compass.
The following policy describes what information the App uses and how it behaves. If you have questions, see the Support section below. Information the App uses
Location (while using the app): The App uses your device location to calculate the direction (bearing) to your saved places. Your location is used on-device for this purpose.
Information you provide
Saved places: Place names/labels and coordinates you add are stored locally on your device.
What the App does not collect
The App does not require an account.
The App does not collect or store your saved places on a server.
The App does not sell your personal data.
Tips / Contributions (In-App Purchases)
The App may offer optional “Buy me a coffee” / contribution purchases. Payments are processed by Apple. The App does not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide us with non-personal purchase information needed to validate the purchase (for example, a receipt).
Data storage
Saved places are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, this data is removed.
Permissions
Location: Used only to show direction to your saved places. You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings, but compass/direction features may not work.

How do I add a place?
Open Targets → tap Add → search for a place or pick it on the map → Save.
Why does the arrow drift or look wrong?
Compass sensors can be affected by nearby magnets/metal (car mounts, speakers).
Calibrate by moving your phone in a “figure‑8” for 5–10 seconds and try again outdoors.
Why does MyNorth need location permission?
Location is used to calculate the direction (bearing) from where you are to your saved places.
Where are my saved places stored?
Targets are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
How do I delete a target?
Open Targets → select a target → choose Delete.
